Cambridge University Jitsu Club is known for having a healthy mix of students and non-students. The club has proven to be popular this year, with over 250 signups in Freshers’ Week alone! The club is jointly run by Sensei Mike McGuinness, Sensei Daniel Storer, and Sensei Simon ‘Sol’ Oliver, with the help of several assistant instructors and a dedicated club committee.
The club provides an opportunity for students to release some stress, get fit, learn to defend themselves, take part in a number of cross-college social events and compete in the annual Varsity Match with Oxford University Jitsu Club.
This year, we ended the winning streak that Oxford University Jitsu Club had been building steadily.
If you’re curious about Jitsu the best thing to do is come along – all are welcome to come to our regular Monday and Saturday training sessions.
